8 Things Every Woman Should Never Ever Forget

You are the daughter, the sister, the girlfriend, the friend, the career woman, the wife, the mother and amongst the many hats that you wear what you often forget to tell yourself is that YOU are YOU first. To give and to nurture is a part of a woman's 'being' and so is to love. However, what we often tend to ignore is that LOVE starts with SELF.

Here are a few simple ways for you to nurture your own joyous self!

Spend a min in front of the mirror every day and tell yourself – "I love myself, I accept myself".

Give yourself some breathing space – you may not be perfect, and you must know no one else is! Accept your flaws, mark the areas of improvement and work on it without having to crib, sulk or criticize yourself for it.

Learn to appreciate your own body, respect it enough to ensure you find time to exercise, detox, be in nature, go for some fun escapes, do yoga or any form of meditation. Feel alive and in touch with the earth and nature, it will help boost your life force energy. Remember You are 'the' woman, you have the ability to create and pro – create and hence it is important for you to keep your mind, body and soul happy.

Suppressing your needs will only make you an unhappy soul dragging herself to fulfil her duties towards others. If you need something that is vital for your survival or your happiness, say it and find ways to work around it so that you can treat yourself to joys that you deserve.

Caught up in the daily chores of life, women usually let exhaustion build up to an extent that it starts to take a toll on the mental and physical wellbeing. Don't ruin yourself trying to be a SUPERWOMAN always… you are human. It is okay for the SUPERWOMAN to want to rest and relax. Get ample sleep and try to find ways to make it a relaxing sleep.

Most of us have more than enough on our plate, it is usually enough for anyone to go bonkers and therefore it is important to spend quiet time.  Quiet time doesn't mean absolute silence but it is just about that time where in you do things that bring you inner peace. Take 15 – 20 minutes' break in a day to read, listen to music, or whatever that it takes for you to tune out of the regular rut.

Find ways to break the monotony – go to new places, explore, meet new people, find something new or something different. It helps to keep the zing alive!

8. Last but not least, without being extravagant – try to pamper yourself once in a while.

Find those days in the month when you can eat what you crave for, shop, go for a spa or wear what you want… Look good – eat good – feel good…
